Who this policy covers

This policy covers Atelix website visitors, account holders, supplier contacts, buyer contacts, and people who contact support. Atelix is the controller or equivalent responsible organization for the marketplace activities described here. A buyer or supplier may separately control personal information it receives for a transaction; its own notice then also applies.

The service is for businesses and is not directed to children. Do not use Atelix if you are under 18 or the minimum age required to enter a business agreement where you live.

Information we collect

• Account and business information: name, work email, country, role, company, authentication records, and account preferences.
• Supplier and catalog information: business contacts, locations, licenses, certifications, capabilities, listings, images, pricing, and verification records.
• Sourcing and transaction information: searches, saved items, briefs, quotes, messages, order records, shipping details, payment status, disputes, and support correspondence.
• Files and content: documents, tech packs, reference images, descriptions, and other material you choose to submit.
• Device and usage information: IP address, browser, device, pages and features used, referring page, timestamps, diagnostics, and security events.

We receive this information from you, your organization, other marketplace participants, service providers, public business sources, and automatically from your device.

Why we use information

• Provide accounts, search, saved items, sourcing, supplier, communication, and order features.
• Verify business users and suppliers, prevent fraud, enforce rules, and protect the service.
• Respond to requests, support transactions, and maintain business records.
• Analyze reliability and improve relevant marketplace features.
• Comply with law, sanctions, tax, accounting, court, and regulatory obligations.
• Send service messages and, where permitted, marketing that you can opt out of.

Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR require a legal basis, we rely as appropriate on performance of a contract, steps requested before a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing a B2B marketplace, legal obligations, and consent where required. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

AI-assisted features

If you choose an AI-assisted search or drafting feature, the text, image, or document you submit may be sent to a contracted AI or cloud service provider to return the requested result. Do not upload special-category, highly sensitive, export-controlled, or third-party confidential information unless you are authorized and the feature expressly supports it. Atelix does not use these features to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

When we share information

We share only what is reasonably needed with:

• buyers, suppliers, logistics parties, inspectors, or advisers involved in a sourcing request or transaction you initiate;
• hosting, database, search, analytics, authentication, email, support, payment, security, and AI service providers acting under contract;
• professional advisers, insurers, auditors, and transaction counterparties under appropriate confidentiality;
• authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and service integrity; and
• a successor in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable safeguards.

Public supplier profiles and listings are visible to site visitors. Do not publish personal contact details that you do not want displayed.

International transfers

Atelix operates across borders, so information may be accessed or processed in countries different from yours. Privacy protections can differ. Where required, we use a recognized transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or another lawful safeguard, together with risk review and supplementary measures where appropriate.

You may contact us for more information about the safeguard relevant to your information, subject to lawful confidentiality limits.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, account operation, transaction records, tax and legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and enforcement. Retention depends on the data and applicable law; we delete or de-identify information when it is no longer required.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and risk. No internet service is completely secure. Use a unique password, protect your email account, and report suspected account compromise promptly.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, receive portable data, opt out of certain targeted advertising or sharing, and appeal a denied request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Residents of the EEA, UK, Switzerland, California and other US states, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia and other Asia-Pacific jurisdictions may have additional rights under local law. Atelix will apply the rights and response standards required where that law applies. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Atelix does not sell personal information for money. If our practices later qualify as “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable US state law, we will provide the required notice and opt-out method before using information that way.

Cookies, local storage, and analytics

We use browser storage and similar technologies for authentication, security, language, cart, saved items, recent searches, and site operation. We may use limited analytics to understand site performance. Where consent is legally required for a non-essential technology, we will request it before activation. Browser settings can clear stored information, but some features may stop working.
